Accounts Payable Analyst Schiphol, Amsterdam Area

The Retail Support Store of GrandVision is located at Schiphol airport. From here shared services are provided to country organizations in the areas of supply chain, information technology, finance, human resources and category management. The scope of these shared services are growing rapidly as more country organizations are connected to the Retail Support Store via the global rollout of a new ERP system. The finance department of the Retail Support Store is responsible for the financial accounting, reporting and administration for all activities in the head office: global supply chain, global IT, global sunglasses category, corporate holdings and functions including the management board, group finance, legal, treasury and others. A specific area is General Ledger Accounting where all administration activities are recorded for the whole Retail Support Store. Accounts Payable is responsible for all invoices are recorded for the whole Retail Support Store.

Main purpose of the role

To ensure that all invoices of GrandVision’s companies based in the Retail Support Store at the Base in Schiphol are properly recorded and accurately reflect in the accounts of the companies.Responsibilities:

  • Book Invoices
  • Match Invoices
  • Communicate with Suppliers and several departments about invoices, statements etc.

Key performance indicators

  • Timeliness of month-end closing
  • Quality of recorded Invoices in terms of completeness and accuracy
  • Good level of team work

Required qualifications/level of education


  • MBO in accounting with approx. 2 years of relevant experience, SAP and Basware knowledge is a pre.

Core competencies/ Personal attributes

Highly adaptable to new environments; with a natural ability to embrace learning and develop through experience. High level of energy and ambition to realise a positive impact.

Positive, customer first, can do attitude.

Key skills, knowledge and experience

Strong knowledge of English (written & spoken) and preferable French or German (written & spoken)

Grow to an AP specialist in specific AP areas
