As a Business Controller Manager, you will act as a strategic sparring partner for senior management at our HQ. You will impact the business by bringing numbers to life and sharing your insights on GrandVision’s financial performance with the management team. You will report to the Business Control Director, and you will lead the Business Controller Overhead. Thus, in this role you will face new opportunities to grow and develop your expertise and managerial skills from the very beginning.

Since our processes are still very manual, we’re looking for someone that is not afraid to try different things and bring new ideas to optimize processes. In this global role, you will have a lot of exposure as you will work directly with the Group CFO and the senior management team. Working side by side with these stakeholders in a global headquarter you are used to tight deadlines and prioritization comes natural to you.

The Group Business Control Department is a dynamic and international team. Although we work hard and play hard, we also care about each other and we’re looking to create a fun and supportive group to builds bridges and connections within the team but also with other HQ Departments (including IT, HR, Finance and Supply Chain, etc.).

  • Finance business partner for GrandVision HQ departments (General Management, IT, HR, Finance, Customer experience and Digital)
  • Strategic sparring partner for senior management for HQ overhead
  • Drive and owner of cost review meetings
  • Drive strategic investment decisions
  • Further develop global project control and integration with EssilorLuxottica
  • Support further development of the GrandVision transfer pricing framework
  • Leading role in the and planning and control plus strategic planning cycle
  • Responsible for department P&L analysis supporting management review
  • Pro-active initiate and contribute to business case building, creativity is appreciated
  • Periodic management reporting and analysis on realisation of our overhead strategy
  • Analysis on results and foresights, supporting management decisions
  • Benchmarking, best practice sharing and implementation
  • Monitoring and forecasting on global trends and market developments relevant for our Business Model
  • Gathering KPI’s and actioning on KPI’s
  • Contribute to a global finance community on Global Support Office
  • Participate in and follow up on audits/projects.

Key skills, knowledge and experience

  • Business level English, both written and spoken
  • University degree in business administration, business economics and/or management control.
  • >7 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong experience in finance business partnering in cooperation with senior management
  • Strong knowledge of Business Control and/or FP&A, preferably in retail
  • Managerial experience is a preferred
  • Experience in sharing and implementing best practices
  • Strong hands-on capabilities
  • Excel and dashboarding knowledge
  • Hyperion, FRS and SAP knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with working in a multi-national environment is a plus
