Business Controller for HQ Overheads, at Schiphol, Amsterdam Area

The headquarter of GrandVision is located at Schiphol airport. The Group Business Control Department is responsible for finance business partnering, management reporting & dashboarding, forecasting, decision support and control over the P&L for all activities in GVHQ and all operating countries around the world. The Business Controller is part of the Business Control team (±7 Controllers) and reports directly to the Head of Group Business Control. Within this role, you will be working in a dynamic and international retail business environment mainly assisting the Business Control function in overhead & CAPEX controlling, periodic management reporting, business partnering for all HQ Departments (including IT, HR, Finance and Supply Chain, etc.) and transfer pricing calculation & documentation.

Reports to

Head of Group Business Control


  • Support in overhead controlling and business partnering for various HQ Departments (IT, HR, Finance, etc.)
  • Support in building and maintaining Capex control model
  • Support in project control
  • Assist in monthly department P&L analysis supporting management review
  • Assist in producing ad-hoc analysis supporting management decisions
  • Participate in transfer pricing calculation and documentations for intra-group services

Required qualifications/level of education

  • Knowledge and experience of IT, HR and Finance, preferably in retail
  • University degree in business administration, or Accounting and Control
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Hyperion and IFRS knowledge are pre
  • Willingness to travel (<5%)
  • Internationally mobile for a future career within GrandVision

Key skills, knowledge and experience

  • Fluent in English, verbally and in writing
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, with experience using excel for financial analysis and reporting
  • Experience with working in a multi-national environment (plus)
  • Experience/ knowledge of SAP (plus)
