Communications Intern, Amsterdam Area

As a communications intern, you will be working in an international environment at GrandVision’s Schiphol-based headquarters. You will support the company’s Investor Relations and Communications team, but mainly focus on Internal Communications.

Reports to

Internal Communications Manager

Main purpose of the role

  • Source, write and edit content for key internal and external communications channels
  • Support activities related to the development of an internal global communications platform
  • Support communications managers in various projects.

Required qualifications/level of education
You are either currently in your final year of Journalism or Communication/PR/Language/Social studies (affiliated with at Dutch college/university) or have just recently graduated (EU resident, or in case of non-EU resident, in possession of valid visa/working permit) and are excited to put theory into action.

Real “musts” are:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Office 365
  • Experience with design software (e.g. InDesign, Photoshop)

Key skills, knowledge and experience

  • You are a strong communicator with fantastic interpersonal and writing skills in English
  • You identify yourself as being proactive, well-organized and hands-on, with a strong willingness to learn; You possess a “can do” attitude
  • You adapt easily to new environments, and have a natural ability to embrace learning and development through experience
  • A high level of energy; An ambition to make a positive impact
  • Ability to initiate dialogue with people at all experience levels within the company.
