Due to continued growth, our QARA (Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs) team is looking for a Customs Compliance Specialist to come strengthen the team.

You’ll get to provide insights and advisory support to the business and help us in granting and maintaining its AEO-C Certification.

  • Support the business in granting and maintaining its AEO-C Certification
  • Act as the business lead on EU and non-EU Customs matters, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, WTO/WCO standards, and internal policies in the conduct of activities in the countries where GrandVision operates.
  • Provide insights and advisory support to the business (i.e. identifying potential risks from a customs perspective on flow of goods involving crossing-borders)
  • Act as the key contact between Suppliers, Operations Team, and 3rd parties (Customs Broker and Freight Forwarder),
  • Proactively manage internal control programs for import and export compliance as per region and country specific regulation, ensuring best practices are followed
  • Support the Global Customs Manager and QARA Team when and where required

Key skills, knowledge and experience

  • The ideal candidate should have an academic degree in a related field.
  • (Preferably) Experience with AEO-C Certification (application and maintenance)
  • In-depth knowledge of UCC (Union Customs Code)
  • Have previous experience in a similar role
  • Be comfortable with a pragmatic approach to regulations.
  • Be proficient in English, written and spoken
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in SAP is a plus
