Digital Design Intern

Note – This 6-month internship position has a start date in September 2022 and is only open to students who are currently enrolled in a Dutch University and are present in the Netherlands.

As a Design intern in GrandVision HQ, you will work closely with our Digital Concept & Creative Manager alongside our external partners and internal stakeholders to understand and develop our internal marketing, e-commerce and design performances and find solutions together as a team to evolve. This internship will give you a chance to work in an international corporate retail environment, you'll get to experience the ins and outs of creating ads for Insta, YouTube, etc. building landing pages, experimenting with consumer psychology and of course tons of ecommerce.


You will work in an in-house design and production team, consisting of various digital (externally hired) people. You will be responsible for:

  • Localising assets and sourcing operating companies (opco) inputs.

  • Make important contributions towards customer experience by developing inspiring eye wear advertisements.

  • Maintaining and publishing our creations to our digital asset management tool and other platforms.

  • Adding valuable input to brainstorm sessions on campaign concepts.

  • Maintaining and following a consistent brand aesthetic.

  • Operational and ad hoc tasks support in various production process.

  • Assisting the Digital Concept & Creative manager with their day-to-day tasks.

  • Analyze the performance of creatives

Key skills, knowledge, and experience

  • You are currently a Bachelor or master’s student studying Marketing, Design, Visual / Creative arts, or any relevant field in a Dutch University.

  • Prior internship experience in an international retail environment is highly beneficial.

  • Aesthetic Sensibility and Adobe Suite knowledge (Illustrator, Photoshop and/or After Effects) is mandatory.

  • Highly adaptable to new environments; with a natural ability to embrace learning and develop through experience.

  • You very are able to communicate your ideas.

  • Excellent communication, written and verbal skills in English or Dutch.

  • Culturally aware with an international mindset.

  • Positive, customer first, can do attitude.

  • Good eye for detail, flexible, open-minded, and proactive.

  • Good interpersonal Skills & a team player.

Note – No thesis support will be provided for this internship.
