Digital Marketing Intern

Note – This 6-month internship position has a start date in September 2022 and is only open to students who are currently enrolled in a Dutch University and are present in the Netherlands.

  • Support the Performance Marketing and Activation team with day-to-day operations, including but not limited to:
    • Assist, create, and optimize Paid Search and Paid Social campaigns that meet our defined KPIs with support of Performance Marketing Specialists
    • Stay on top of marketing trends, tools, and technologies and identify new opportunities
    • Assist budget management, staying on top of budgets and resources, focusing on results
    • Assist in the ongoing localization of our global marketing strategies
    • Analyze campaign results and creating campaign evaluations for the OpCos, including insights and recommendations to further improve performance
    • Aid in weekly reporting and data gathering
    • End-to-end management of campaign briefs in Jira assigned to you
    • Assist in updating planning documents, including campaign calendars and media plans
    • Support team meetings by taking notes and following up on next steps
    • Assist the team in monitoring and reporting on performance marketing results, flagging any concerns or opportunities
    • Help with documenting and gathering of best practices
    • Aid in training new interns that may join the team

  • Take ownership of internship assignment as agreed upon with Head of Digital Performance Marketing
    • Identify a relevant topic together that excites you and adds value to the team
    • Schedule regular check-ins, come prepared with updates on progress and next steps’
    • Meet agreed deadlines

  • Present final assignment to the full Activation team at the completion of your internship period

Key skills, knowledge and experience

  • Currently studying for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a similar field
  • Fluent in English
  • Certificates (Google Ads, Google Analytics, etc.) are a plus
  • Experience with math/analytical skills
  • Detail oriented and organized, a go-getter
  • Strong desire to learn and proactive
  • Willing to do operational work
  • Energetic and positive, a team player
  • Can work independently, and knows when to seek support
  • Has a strong sense of responsibility
  • Passionate about digital marketing
