E-Commerce Merchandiser Sun, Amsterdam Area

eCommerce Merchandiser Sun will be responsible for creating and implementing e-commerce content, listing information, and competitive and accurate pricing strategies.

Main purpose of the role

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

This position is responsible for creating and implementing e-commerce content, listing information, and competitive and accurate pricing strategies. The individual will work hand-in-hand with our category, marketing, and ecommerce teams to create product solutions based on the latest market trends, determine content for products and bundles, develop and implement competitive pricing strategies, and more. They will be responsible for helping improve customer perception and experiences by working with online customer habits to assess and implement the best merchandising practices. The eCommerce Merchandiser will also track and report in order to measure the results of their efforts. Main KPI’s of eCommerce Merchandiser Sun will be improving eCommerce conversion rates through daily track of web conversion funnel.

  • Collaborate with Category and Marketing teams on merchandising direction, product assortment and promotional planning. Provide direction using responsible data analysis on product, category, and customer behavior data.

  • Maximize key product visibility through website merchandising and site search. Lead best practices including rule management, null search results, and matching strategies. Narrow down customer consideration set by aiding in dynamic filtering and assortment curation.

  • Use web analytics tools to understand customer behavior on the website, and adjust tactics accordingly

  • Ensure health of key product focuses by fine-tuning product content including setting quality control content standards and managing product review program.

  • Review and report on product performance daily, monthly, and quarterly to aid in seasonal rollover strategy.

  • Optimize product focuses within ecommerce sites based on ongoing product performance review. Suggest tactical shifts in product focus taking into consideration profitability, sales history, traffic and conversion.

Required qualifications/level of education

Solid academic background (minimum of bachelor’s degree), ‘smart’, background in eCommerce, digital marketing or web merchandising

Core competencies/ Personal attributes

  • Passion for driving sales, proven ability to achieve strong results working strategically and operationally with strong teamwork

  • Ambitious team player with drive and willingness to take own initiative and take decisions

  • Self-paced with prioritization, organization and time management competencies.

  • Strong independent problem-solving skills, must be oriented toward problem resolution and improvements

  • Detail oriented, but able to keep big picture and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, as well as determine key priorities with a ‘customer first’ and ‘best for business’ approach
