Main purpose of the role
As a Transformation Project Manager, you will work with the Category Teams to deliver proactive capabilities & tools in line with the priorities in terms of Global Category animation, Product lifecycle management as well as Local implementation of Global assortment recommendations

Main responsibilities:

  • Robust project governance and successfully execute and complete assigned projects in line with agreed targets

  • Strong focus on strategic initiatives however you may also be engaged in non sourcing projects

  • Delivery of measurable business value and cost savings in project implementation through the application of rigorous project management, stakeholder engagement and category management tools, systems and techniques

  • Successfully establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external resources and key project stakeholders involved in project tasks and key critical path deliverables

  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence

Main transformation projects include but are not limited to:

  • Banner clustering project

  • Methodology to support markets preparing selection days & building their local selection plan

  • Harmonization of tools and methods Global & local for Category Management & Product Lifecycle management

  • Internal Showroom sample management IT system implementation & follow-up (orders, integrated stock management system, invoices, employee webshop, showroom, legal,…)

  • Selection days event organisation, define selection days dates for Sun team with the suppliers and coordinate with all stakeholders (Opcos, Mkg, Procurement, Qara,…)

We believe you have modern leadership, communicational and motivational skills with an ability to drive results. Your experience in leading project teams, that you are not manager of, will be required as you will have frequent contact with colleagues at different departments and sites

As a Global Category Management Community Manager you will deliver the tools and content to communicate with the local GV community:

  • Bi-monthly Global Category Management call coordination (45 countries)

  • Global to local communication methodology and calendar finetuning with head of Catman

  • Regional Director of Sales Meeting coordination / Newsletter content for catman team

  • Grand Vision Catman Unique communication IT platform development and maintenance

Required qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in in a professional/client services capacity, emphasizing leadership/management skills in the following areas: program delivery, change management and/or business transformation

  • Strong knowledge in various category management organizations within retail environment (process-tools-methods)

  • Experience in navigating complex organizations and managing multi-country teams, understanding nuances of varied cultures

  • Proven ability to deliver customer service excellence by understanding business needs, identifying appropriate solutions, and meeting/exceeding service expectations

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and run large scale global program management processes

  • Outstanding attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently

  • A strong sense of ownership, accountability and drive to deliver quality outcomes

  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to facilitate complex discussions, reach consensus and drive to action

  • Advanced skills of influencing, negotiation, diplomacy including influencing those at more senior grade levels and high comfort level with interacting and presenting

  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor with a proven track record of achievement, solid interpersonal skills and a reputation as an agent of change

Education And Experience

  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree in a business-related discipline

  • 6+ years’ experience in large scale program or project management in an international framework

  • Experience in global-scale business transformation in retail environment would be ideal

  • Recognized Project Management certification

Availability to travel abroad for implementation follow-up with key countries and project reviews
