Global Continuous Improvement Leader, Amsterdam Area
Establish a World Class Standard in the Operation Excellence Culture in GrandVision
Responsible for the delivery of product/process continuous improvement initiatives and necessary Trainings. He/she will play a key role in Operation transformation fostering a culture of sustainable change. This will be done through the implementation LEAN methodology.
Global Manufacturing & Quality Director
Main purpose of the role
To set up an Operational Excellence development roadmap according key defined GrandVision business strategic drivers
To initiate, lead and facilitate (LEAN) process improvement activities across the entire Business (Logistic, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Process/product Engineering) following Business defined priorities via internal governance and controls.
To elicit requirements and drive process change using staff interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, business analysis and workflow analysis
To work with key business stakeholders, and multi-area/function ‘LEAN champions’, to build a continuous improvement environment supporting an ongoing ambitious program of change
To support the delivery of greater value and efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within current business processes.
Set up and maintain a state-of-the-art performance monitoring system in order to timely and effectively identify trends and process variations as part of establishing a global continuous improvement journey
To make sure continuous improvement is a key contributor in Company strategic operational decisions
To work with other team members and business services departments (QARA in particular) to complete post implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery and formal documentation of revised processes, to include training, and systems enhancements in official procedures
To actively monitor project risks to foresee/identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address in advance
Required qualifications/level of education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university, master's degree is preferred
Minimum accredited Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, preferably Master Black Belt
Proven experience of hands-on implementation of continuous improvement programs and Lean solutions in a multi-country environment
Experience of the whole project life cycle, able to operate in the initial conceptual design stage, in the depths of system testing, and at each stage in between
Core competencies/ Personal attributes
Minimum 7-10 years proven continuous improvement analytical experience from a similar role, including project management and business analysis
Excellent understanding of continuous improvement concepts applied to business
Ability to set-up, facilitate and lead service improvement sessions with a range of business stakeholders (incl. Experience of process/value stream mapping)
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Project, Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Experience of designing and implementing remediation plans to address productivity and efficiency issues, and track record of following through to ensure timely and effective closure
A ‘completer-finisher’ taking accountability for ideas from inception to delivery, in an environment that requires robust metrics to support and confirm success
Experience of designing and implementing a framework of continuous improvement in a multijurisdictional organization
Key skills, knowledge and experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of partners, senior managers, and subject matter experts. Ability to articulate strategic interactions in matrix organization set-up
Strong analytical, project and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into operational requirements
