Main purpose of the role
Responsible for creating best-in-class Solaris retail brand standards, marketing activities and commercial promotions, as well as designing accurate marketing briefs to content factory for off & online assets creation to boost traffic, conversion and comparable growth across sunglass category.
· Retail Brand Marketing
o Lead and share global market research and consumer insights to ensure profound analysis and understanding of sunglass market(s).
o Creation of a global retailer brand strategy and positioning.
o Cocreate with partner brands a co-branding activity calendar leveraging opportunities for both parties.
o Formulate and implement the MKGT-mix of strategic and operational elements including commercial policy standards.
o Develop and upgrade across the different retail formats all the Solaris touch-points (in-store elements and furniture)
o Develop and communicate Global PR Strategy, Kits & Tools: Message - Tone of Voice - Target/Audience - KPI's –
o Develop global guidelines aimed at increasing brand consistency, operational excellence and supporting franchise expansion (e.g: brand book chapters 1 to 4)
o Develop Sun social media content for x40 OpCo’s `
o Grow online Solaris awareness at global and central level via development of central social media program (deliverables: guidelines, content, global ambassador program, central activation …)
· Operational Marketing
o Define Yearly Marketing Calendar and 360° marketing strategy by identifying drivers for growth, conversion, traffic boost, commercial promotions and potential for new consumers acquisition for all markets and zones.
o Design 360 degree launchplans with brands and countries, collaborate in contracting agencies locally as well as support / supervise in the marketing execution per country.
o Collect Global Sun Trade Marketing fees to support growth of the category and development of effective and innovative campaigns.
o Lead team to develop corporate campaigns and partner with brands (GV Exclusive Brands and Suppliers) to build full 360 degree marketing. Transform it into categorical and seasonal go to market execution to help drive awareness and sales using levers including but not limited to stores/animations, advertising, online marketing, social media...
o Post analyze promotion result (ROI) and identify future action plans. Collect, Synthesize and share best practices.
o Development and coordination of differentiating sun offers aimed at driving traffic and differentiating GrandVision’s sunglass offer (e.g: avant-premiere / exclusivities …)
o Development of partnership and opportunities with additional suppliers (e.g: Marchon, Marcolin,
o Elaboration of a Global Trade Marketing Framework for the sun category
· Digital Marketing:
o Define the multi-channel strategy and assets (“plug-in sun pages” and “stand-alone website”) in collaboration with e-Commerce, CRM, social media and concept.
o Design, develop and upgrade all digital touchpoints (online/e-Commerce and offline) related to sunglass category. Share and help country to implement.
o Lead team to develop creative content and to implement online trade marketing calendar - Campaigns - Product - Pricing - Promotions - Global GV Sun Online TNR.
o Develop CRM campaigns according to global trade marketing plan and aggregate/analyze GV Sun consumer database.
o Define, implement and post-analyze global KPI’s
o Creation and animation of a global marketing community aimed at supporting sun sales and defining global strategy (e.g: monthly calls, newsletters, workshops …)
o Coordinate and support elaboration of local sun marketing calendar for each banner
o Coordinate go-to-market strategy (e.g: introduction of new brand / Privé Revaux)
Key performance indicators
· Global Sun sales + Campaign efficiency and worldwide implementation.
· Deliver monthly Campaign Guide and assets to local market at least 45 days in advance for implementation. Measure campaign effectiveness and implementation
· Raise global Solaris awareness online & offline.
· Projects completion in time.
Required qualifications/level of education
· Minimum of 6-10 year experience in fashion or cosmetics; previous international brand management experience preferred
· Experience bringing new products to market, as well as marketing with existing products/brands
· Strong project management experience as well as digital, social media and non-traditional marketing background.
· Creative self-starter; ability to work in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
· Proven ability to lead, build relationships, and work effectively with / through a cross-functional team and to communicate on senior management level
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· High proficiency in English and ability to travel as required
· Ability to lead a diverse, multi-disciplinary team (internal and external)
