Project Manager – Procurement Operations Ophthalmic Lenses a.i. – Global Procurement Schiphol, Amsterdam Area (June-December 2018)
As a Project Manager you are part of the Global Procurement Department, a team of 11 FTE’s in total. The department is divided in the following areas: Exclusive Brands Frames, Non-exclusive Brands Frames, Lenses and Contact Lenses.
Maarten van der Steen – Global Senior Sourcing Manager
Main purpose of the role
Analyse and monitor (financial) performance of the Ophthalmic Lenses category (Gross margin, Stocks)
Implement changes in end-to-end supply chain that result in lower operational cost
Work together with suppliers to contribute to an efficient and effective Supply Chain
Interface with internal departments and Operating Companies to grow the category
As a member of the procurement team, provide expertise and share the depth of your experience with other members of the organization.
Contribute actively to the strategic transformation of the procurement function with the primary focus on governance, standardization and effectiveness of the service delivery
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to solve problems and ensure high quality, reliable sources of supply and information.

Required qualifications/level of education
Completed degree, minimum BSc, ideally in a business-related field

Key skills, knowledge and experience
Strong knowledge of MS Excel
Strong knowledge of English (written & spoken)
Minimum of 3+ years of business experience as a (junior) business analyst, (junior) project manager, (junior) change manager, process specialist
A tangible track record of achieving outstanding results
Experience in supply chain operations
Retail of FMCG is desirable
