Job Title

Global Transformation Change Director

Reports to

VP Transformation

Responsibilities

  1. Apply a structured methodology to design and implement a 360 change plan in GV HQ and OpCos

  • Design effective change plan in each phase of the transformation fostering engagement and managing resistance, encompassing leadership engagement, coaching, communication, and training
  • Conduct impact assessment with the support of functions and stream leads highlighting impacted groups of employees at HQ/OpCo level and designing specific change plans for those groups (communication, training, …)
  • Design change methodology and tools to be used by the HR community across all OpCos to build and animate their own change plan localized for their markets
  • Advise and support functions and project lead in designing their change journey
  • Animate and support the change agent community (including OpCo HR), as well as functions and project leads along the journey and share change management good practices
  • Pilot execution, reporting progress to OpCo and local transformation governance on a regular basis
  • Assess change readiness and change plan impact along the transformation
  • Ensure cultural change involved by the transformation are addressed by change plans

  1. Ensure Leadership engagement along the journey (GV management team, Regional VPs, GMs)

  • Define together with the functions an impactful Story telling stating with clarity the purpose, the strategic objective and the value expected of the transformation
  • Leverage key forums to communicate transformation story to GV management (including but not only GVMT, transformation board, MD forums, GVC meetings)
  • Organize ad-hoc meetings with specific members of the management teams to manage “hopes and fears”

  1. Define and implement a communication plan for the transformation

  • Design a impactful communication plan together with functions, stream leads and GV internal com.
  • Select, together with GV internal com. the most impactful channels to distribute the content
  • Coordinate functions and project leads in creating the communication content (newsletter, digital apps, social network, gaming, …)
  • Support Change agents in OpCos (including OpCo HR) to define a customized communication plan for their market leveraging at best content created in HQ
  • Promote projects achievements and celebrate success

  1. Define and implement a training plan supporting employee in the adoption of new ways of working (new roles, new processes, and systems)

  • Design an efficient training plan with functions together with stream leads and GV Academy training programs
  • Coordinate functions and stream leads in documenting training requirements to support employees in the usage of new ways of working
  • Coordinate functions, stream leads and GV academy in the production of training content
  • Coordinate GV academy in the delivery of training programs

  1. Advocates Forward transformation and capture feedback from Regional/OpCo leadership and employees

  • Identify and animate the “transformation Ambassadors” as well as the community of change agents to advocate GV transformation
  • Establish positive relationships with key stakeholders to ensure engagement and successful delivery of change
  • Capture in a structured manner (regular meetings) feedback from Regional/OpCos
  • Organize interviews / workshops with specific employees to capture concerns
  • Adjust the change plan to address gaps and concerns
  • Support the collection of lessons learnt to enable continuous improvement

Required qualifications/level of education

  • Business school master’s degree / engineer school master’s degree
  • 5-8 years’ experience of change management in the context of large-scale transformation in a global group
  • Good experience of the retail industry 3-5 years

Key skills, knowledge and experience

  • Strong knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • ability to apply key change frameworks through different individual and group exercises, workshops, and other interventions
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
