As a Business Controller, you will act as a strategic sparring partner. You will impact the business by bringing numbers to life and sharing your insights on GrandVision’s financial performance with the management team. This is not a maintaining role. In fact, your learning curve will be steep as you will face new opportunities to grow and develop from the very beginning.

Since our processes are still very manual, we’re looking for someone that is not afraid to try things and bring new ideas to optimize processes. In this global role, you will have a lot of exposure as you will work directly with the Group CFO and the management team. Working side by side with these stakeholders in a global headquarter, you are used to tight deadlines and prioritization comes natural to you.

The Group Business Control Department is a dynamic and international team. Although we work hard and play hard, we also care about each other and we’re looking to create a fun and supportive group to build bridges and connections within the team but also with other HQ Departments (including IT, HR, Finance and Supply Chain, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Drive overhead controlling and business partnering for various HQ Departments (IT, HR, Finance, etc.)
  • Support in monthly department P&L analysis supporting management review
  • Assist in producing ad-hoc analysis supporting management decisions
  • Optimize and further automate reporting structure and processes
  • Participate in transfer pricing calculation for intra-group services
  • Business case building

Key skills, knowledge and experience

  • University degree in business administration, business economics and/or management control.
  • >2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and experience finance business partnering, preferably in retail
  • Knowledge of Business Control and/or FP&A, preferably in retail
  • Strong hands-on capabilities
  • Excel and dashboarding knowledge
  • Hyperion, FRS and SAP knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with working in a multi-national environment is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of English (written & spoken)
  • Positive, customer first, can do attitude, high level of integrity, leading by example
  • Pro-active and strong team player but not afraid to challenge
  • High level of energy and ambition to realise a positive impact
  • Highly adaptable to new environments; with a natural ability to embrace learning and develop through experience
