From the Retail Support Store in Schiphol, we provide support and shared services to the country organizations in the areas of supply chain, information technology, finance, category management and human resources. The HR team is focussing on new flexible ways of deploying HR activities, always with our local countries in mind. We are responsible for HR in the broadest sense of the word: HR Operations, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, Recruitment, Talent Management, Onboarding, HR Analytics and Employee engagement.
HR Business Partner
Main purpose of the role
On the one hand, as a Human Resources Intern at the Retail Support Store, you will be working closely together with the HR Business Partner, the Human Resources Intern will perform hands-on and organizational support in the areas of social media, talent activation, and deployment of local initiatives & HR projects. This is the ideal opportunity for someone who wants to work, learn and support an international HR team. You will assist the managers (internally) with the recruitment, selection and onboarding process. On the other hand, you will support employee engagement with preparing activities &announcements, contributing to Employee Engagement Survey and follow-up processes.
The HR & Recruitment Internship will be focused around topics such as:
Recruitment / search, selection and legislation
Place vacancies on LinkedIn and universities platforms
Search for top talents on LinkedIn
Proactively contact candidates
Read cv’s and make first call screening with candidates
Use the recruitment tool (SAP Success Factors) and manage candidates’ status
Improve job descriptions
Do research on the latest technological developments in recruitment
Be informed about the work visa restrictions that the Dutch legislation requires when hiring people from abroad
Understanding and sending the salary review form to candidates
Work with assesment tool (test) for selecting external candidates and for development purposes internally for the employees, archiving the test results of the employees
Preparing presentations regarding activities, employee engagement meetings and relevant topics
Reaching out to universities of applied science and research universities, looking for ways to find suitable interns
Instructing the managers how to work with our talent management system
Looking after the recruitment process and system, following-up the status of the position and candidates, making sure the managers update the system
Supporting the onboarding process and communication, facilitating the newcomer’s integration in the company.
Taking part in meetings with the HR Business Partner to develop HR-related practices
Keeping the intranet up to date, working closely with Internal Communications Department
Required qualifications/level of education
You are currently studying HR or Business Administration and looking for a full time (non- thesis) Internship for a period of six months. Both bachelor as well as master students are invited to apply.

Strong/Fluent knowledge of English (written & spoken) is a must
