IT Business Consultant (Eye Ware Operations)

We are looking for a IT Business Consultant focusing on Eye Ware operations (EWO).

All IT functions commonly take part in strategic GV projects with a global or multi-OpCo footprint. A large part of the strategic projects in the years to come centre around or impact EWO. The same is true for the GV application portfolio that holds tools that support the EWO function. This role relies on close interaction with the EWO business functions both in HQ and in the Operating Countries as well as for the day to day operations (business as usual).

Your role will interact with the most senior levels in the EWO organisation, as well as with people in the operational functions. It is the linking pin between business and IT and will provide thought leadership on solutions and best practices. It is also the linking pin between strategy and implementation and has a pivotal role in translating corporate goals into (IT) projects, applications and technology that deliver results. GBPO’s, Solution Architects and the Transformation team are therefore also important sparring partners

Project accountabilities

  • Maintain and report on Global IT Roadmap for Strategic EWO Projects to ensure
  • Perform Demand Management to assess and streamline new ideas and business initiatives in HQ and the OpCo’s to ensure
  • Support project preparation in HQ and OpCo’s to ensure
  • Responsibilities across EWO business and IT in HQ and the OpCo’s are agreed

Business as Usual accountabilities

  • Scan for market developments in the IT / EWO area and identify, initiate and introduce new technologies and ways-of-working
  • Maintain Application Portfolio for the EWO area across HQ and the OpCo’s to avoid duplication and maximise utilisation
  • Work with Global Business Process Owners and architects to ensure Business Rules and End-to-End process flows are maintained and relevant tools always include the latest developments and serve as a starting point for any new initiative in the EWO area
  • Join relevant management meetings in the EWO domain to ensure alignment between business and IT and to provide latest insights into developments in and outside GV that the business can benefit from
  • Provide input to the budgeting process and work with HQ and the OpCo’s to align single year and multi-year budget figures
  • Set up and run regular update meetings with and between HQ and OpCo’s EWO functions
  • Represent GVHQ towards OpCo’s and external parties
  • Share feedback on IT roadmap for EWO with the GVIT communities in HQ and the OpCo’s

Key skills, knowledge and experience

  • Relevant Master Level degree, or equivalent
  • 8-10 years of experience in international retail organisation
  • 8-10 years of experience in process design
  • 8-10 years working with ERP tools in EWO processes
  • 8-10 years working with specialist EWO tools
  • 8-10 years of experience in change/improvement projects
  • Business level English, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • In-depth knowledge of EWO process or equivalent industry
  • Analytical
  • In-depth knowledge of supporting tools
  • Project Management methodologies
  • Agile ways of working
