L&D Manager: Leadership Development

Reports to

VP Human Resources

Responsibilities

Grand Vision is a people-focused business where retail staff make up approximately 90% of our workforce. Ensuring the right knowledge is at the fingertips of our employees & developing our people so that we have the right capabilities in stores, is a critical part of our DNA. We have launched the Grand Vision Leadership Lens clearly identify the leadership profile in Grand Vision & we are maturing of our global talent management process. This has led to the creation of a new role, pioneering the development & launch of our Leadership Academy in 2021.

As the Learning & Development Manager for Leadership Development in the Grand Vision Academy, you are responsible for:

  • Developing or sourcing appropriate learning interventions to bring to life the overall leadership development strategy of Grand Vision
  • Developing a comprehensive approach to leadership development for all leadership roles i.e first time managers, emerging leaders & executive solutions. The initial focus will be on the appropriate learning interventions for global senior management.
  • Creates, drives & supports a learning culture within the Grand Vision leadership population
  • Partner up with Talent Management COE to firmly embed a 70/20/10 philosophy to leadership development
  • Develop approach & process to enroll or nominate participants, through talent management and HR Business Partners
  • Identify potential providers, negotiate terms of business & own relationships with third parties
  • Ensure robust evaluation methodologies for leadership development programs within Grand Vision

Required qualifications/level of education

  • Relevant University degree in Education or Business
  • 5 - 8 years of experience in leadership development in a corporate learning & development
  • Significant experience in creating, delivering, and driving leadership development strategies & plans
  • Expertise in innovative & experiential learning
  • Understands the current and developing landscape of best practises, tools and methodologies for learning and leadership development in various contexts ie leading in a matrix, leadership through change, leading for growth
