Marketing Project Manager Assistant, part of the Sun Center of Excellence Marketing team

Main purpose of the role (but not limited to):

Within the Marketing & Communication department of the Sun Center of Excellence, you are in charge of the deployment and monitoring of sales actions internationally. You are in relation with the various service providers (creative and graphic agencies, print and production suppliers), the internal departments (Product, Web, Sales, Supply chain) and international marketing teams (OpCo’s). Your key role is to consolidate the implementation of operations and to constantly watch industry/competition to develop new marketing actions to increase traffic, boost sales and spot trends. You evolve among a young, highly energized and professional team, in an international environment.

  • Solaris Retail branding:
    • AIM: enhance the Solaris corporate image through all its identity tools!
    • Support the corporate visuals development and implementation
    • Develop and manage Solaris identity supports (uniforms, gift bag, gift card, displays and consumables)
    • Elaborate usage guidelines of above tools for GV Sales and Marketing departments

  • Trade marketing operations:
    • AIM: boost traffic and drive sales through setting up yearly marketing plan and commercial operations!
    • Coordinate internal departments and challenge providers: Marketing and Product, Supply chain, Sales and Group franchise teams.
    • Manage the production and deploy all stores communication tools: POS supports, merchandising and sales tools
    • Monitor the proper implementation of operations in compliance with the brands / suppliers specifications and deadlines
    • Communicate tools to internal teams and shops: campaign guides, marketing activities follow-up, specific reports

  • Marketing competitive intelligence:
    • AIM: Feed sunglasses expertise to develop new marketing actions and boost sales!
    • Collect and share Sunglass/Eyewear industry but also overall (Fashion) retail industry information/activaion through collaborative and dynamic tools
    • Analyze rationally and creatively the competitive intelligence reports available
    • Produce recommendations and share best practices with Marketing, Product, Communication and Sales teams

Required qualifications/level of education

Solid academic background (minimum of Bachelor degree), ‘smart’, background in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration

Core competencies/ Personal attributes

Highly adaptable to new environments; with a natural ability to embrace learning and develop through experience. High level of energy and ambition to realise a positive impact.

Positive, customer first, can do attitude.

Key skills, knowledge and experience

The candidate must have the following skills/ profile:

  • High proficiency in English (written/verbal as we operate in an international team)
  • Willing to learn, diplomatic and ability to communicate and influence
  • Digital-friendly and excellent command of Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint); Photoshop is a plus
  • Can-do mentality, ambitious, results oriented
  • Good interpersonal skills and team spirit
  • Enthusiasm, rigor and strong implication
  • Organizational skills and ability to work in autonomy

In addition, successful candidates preferably have:

  • International profile and or background
  • Commercially smart
  • Interest in retail, preferably in sunglasses, fashion or optical retailing
  • Working experience in a demanding environment
