QARA Manager GrandVision Spain

The QARA Manager is responsible for implementing and applying quality processes and standards at OpCo level. He/she will ensure the local implementation of the Grandvision Global Quality Management System (QMS, including ISO 13485 certification) and would also drive a culture of quality within its OpCo.

Main purpose of the role

Main responsibilities:

  1. Implement Group strategy defined at HQ level by the Global Quality & Regulatory Team.
  2. Run Tactical and operational implementation of QMS at OpCo level, under the approval and guidance of the HQ Quality & Regulatory.
  3. Ensure OpCos compliance with applicable regulations.
  4. Ensure localization & implementation of Quality processes (product design, supplier control, M&As, recalls, product realization, etc.), as per regulatory and QMS requirements.
  5. Ensure implementation and maintenance of the global quality standards & certification (ISO 13485) adopted by GV.
  6. Run & coordinate OpCo quality and regulatory audits.
  7. Manage the (future) Local Quality Management System,
  8. Regularly report to HQ QARA on the status of the Local QMS and relevant QARA KPIs.
  9. Ensure local plan for Quality and Regulatory compliance is created by OpCo and approved by local Managing Director and by HQ QARA Management.

Achieving and maintaining ISO 13485 certification

Required qualifications/level of education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university, Master's degree is preferred with finality in Engineering, Quality & Regulatory, Law.
For G4 countries and USA, a minimum of 3 years in QARA is required, as well as the demonstrated ability of having achieved ISO 13485 certificate (or having passed an FDA inspection) in a previous role.

In-depth knowledge of EU 2017/745 or 21 CFR 820 is required for G4 countries and USA, and is desirable for rest of the world.
