Senior Business Controller

We are looking for a Senior Business Controller to join the Group Business Control department in our HQ Office.

We are GrandVision, well-known by our retail banners such as Pearle, Vision Express, Charlie Temple, Apollo, Solaris, and many more! Our global store network are the go-to locations for all the top brands in the eyewear industry, including Ray-Ban, Oakley, Esprit, Carrera, but also popular for our comprehensive selection of exclusive and indie brands.

As a Senior Business Controller, you are responsible for analysing business results, managing reporting and dashboarding, budgeting, forecasting, and control over the P&L while identifying risks and opportunities and acting as a business partner and first-line support to our Nordic, Spanish and Swiss markets.

You closely work together with the Senior Management team in HQ and Operating Countries (OpCos) to provide insights regarding our monthly performance and advise on decision making as well as support process harmonization projects across the different OpCos.

  • Finance business partnering for senior management geographical cluster.
  • Analysis of results and foresight.
  • Attend and drive business review meetings.
  • Own and drive the Optical retail KPIs.
  • Periodic management reporting and analysis on realization of our strategy/cluster ambitions.
  • Decision support for strategic investments and maintenance of group decision support templates.
  • Benchmarking, best practice sharing and implementation.
  • Monitoring and forecasting global trends and market developments relevant to our Business Model.
  • Gathering and actioning on KPIs.
  • Participate in and follow up on audits/projects.
  • M&A integration support.
  • Connecting operating companies with GrandVision headquarters
  • Ad hoc analysis

Key skills, knowledge and experience

  • University degree in business administration, business economics and/or management control.
  • >7 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong experience in finance business partnering in cooperation with senior management.
  • Strong knowledge of Business Control and/or FP&A.
  • Experience in sharing and implementing best practices.
  • Strong Excel and dashboarding knowledge.
  • Hyperion knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with working in a multi-national environment is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of English (written & spoken).
  • Pro-active and strong team player but not afraid to challenge
  • Highly adaptable to new environments; with a natural ability to embrace learning and develop through experience.


  • Workplace type: hybrid. We offer the option to continue working 2 days at home and 3 days at the office with a working from home bundle incl. chair and screen etc. provided to support this.
