Due to continuous expansion, our IT Retail Development team is recruiting!

As a Senior Devops Engineer, you have implemented Continuous Integration for previous clients. You have knowledge of Infrastructure as code principles, and you are able to automate our development and deployment pipelines for multiple projects. You have experience in organizing and integrating different solutions and can apply that for the running projects towards a seamless operations dashboard with Elastic Stack or other DevOps Tools. Next to that you have experience with Azure Cloud Solution and specially with Azure Kubernetes.

You apply the knowledge you have gained in previous experiences; help steer the developers to achieve their best. You are able to explain your technical vision in a comprehensible language within your team and across scrum teams and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • As a Devops Engineer, you apply the knowledge you have previously gained in automating and support our developers and enable an agile delivery train.
  • You make sure that technical Wiki’s are kept up to date.
  • You have experience in setting up logging and monitoring capabilities with technologies like Elastic Stack and or Prometheus.
  • You are service focused and are ensuring we are providing and building the right infrastructure and ci/cd solutions.
  • As devops engineer you will engage with infra-ops and other -ops teams therefor you constantly help improve our problem-solving skills across the group.
  • You evaluate code, promote the best practices, and maintain a high level of professionalism and pragmaticism.

Key skills, knowledge and experience

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Science or Engineering.
  • 3+years of experience in delivering infrastructure and or developer tooling.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience automating with bash/perl/phyton/go or comparable technology.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and a solid understanding of docker/containers.
  • Experience in setting up monitoring and logging with Elastic stack and Prometheus.
  • Thorough understanding of the importance of code quality.
  • Having experience with IT security and networking.
  • Having experience with SSO enablement (SAML based).
  • Having experience with agile practices Scrum, Kanban.
  • Understanding of branching strategies.
  • As we work in an international environment, good understanding, and knowledge of and write fluent English.
  • Self-motivated, highly organised, and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision.
  • Empathic ability, takes initiative, pro-active, focused on results, and customer centric.
  • Proven Organizational skills.
