Responsibilities

As a quality assurance engineer, you control the quality of the software within Retail Development for GrandVision Group IT for multiple solutions. You are a T-Shaped test engineer to help enable this cross functional enablement within different programs and products within GrandVision. You can achieve this via enabling developers, product owners, program managers, test engineers and our local stakeholders within the group with your direction and your support. Next to that the focus is to setup automated solutions within a DevOps environment. You will be working with enthusiastic developers, dev-ops specialist, product owners and scrum masters. This in the end will help improve the reliability of our services towards our retail business within our 7000+ stores footprint worldwide.

  • As we work in an international environment, good understanding and knowledge of and write fluent English.
  • You are able to define and setup UAT processes and capabilities.
  • Work collaboratively across the stack with a primary focus on integration, test coverage and validation.
  • Collaborate with product, design and broader engineering team on features and functionality use -test cases.
  • Setup of test processes with the following key features of the company in mind; transparency, transferrable/re-usable, just enough automation and user centralized.
  • You are service focused and are ensuring we are providing the right mind and toolset to complete our overall test coverage.
  • As you will be part of the devops team you will engage with infrastructures and other devops related topics concerning non-functionals and support your team members with the right capabilities.
  • Familiarity with REST API and microservices is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts is a plus.
  • Should be self-motivated, highly organised, and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision.
  • You take pride in creating test automation.

Key skills, knowledge and experience

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in science or Engineering.
  • You have been certified in TMAP and/or ISTQB Foundation.
  • 4+years of experience in delivering test solutions and or developer test tooling.
  • Experience with Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber and/or other comparable solutions.
  • Experience in setting up Non-Functional Requirements and the additional performance and load testing solutions.
  • Thorough understanding of the importance of code quality.
  • Having experience with setting up automated test solution in a devops environment.
  • Having experience with agile practices Scrum, Kanban.
  • Having experience with guiding and supporting colleagues.
  • Having experience with Helm, Kustomize and or Terraform is a plus.
  • Familiarity with NodeJS, Java/JEE and or Javascript/TypeScript is a plus.
  • Having moderate knowledge with Microsoft Azure is a plus.
  • Having experience and knowledge about test automation is a plus.
