GrandVision is currently undergoing a major digital transformation, with the Network team being one of the main stakeholders. We will transform our network infrastructure to allow us to overcome the limitations of our legacy setup and support our other integration projects. Cloud Data Center (Azure), SD-WAN, and Cloud-managed devices are examples of technologies that you will be working with on a daily basis.

At GrandVision headquarter, we are not afraid of new technologies. We adopt them, put them into practices, and make them a part of our Network blueprint before eventually leading the global implementation and supporting them. Our regional fulfilment hubs and retail stores are our primary targets for our Network blueprint.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in incident and change management.
  • Provide secure and reliable network connectivity at GrandVision’s premises e.g. on-premise data centers, Azure Cloud, offices, fulfilment hubs, and OpCos’ headquarters.
  • Secure GrandVision’s IT infrastructure using various technologies (firewalls, proxies, IPS/IDS, etc.).
  • Prepare, configure, and install network equipment such as routers, switches, access points, firewalls, etc.
  • Proactively monitor network performance, and come up with suggestions to improve the performance,
  • Work together with different stakeholders inside (e.g. Infrastructure, Application Development team, etc.) and outside (e.g. Finance, Supply Chain, etc.) the IT organization to ensure business requirements are translated well into IT solutions.
  • Develop and document a global connectivity template.
  • Work with various 3rd parties and constantly monitor the service SLA.
  • Provides advices and expertise in deciding the technology and the architecture of the network setup.
  • Take the ownership of the network projects and be responsible in the delivery.
  • Participate in on-call shifts to support to business.

Key skills, knowledge and experience

  • Business level English both verbal and in writing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information and Communication Technology (or equivalent)
  • Relevant certifications from Cisco, Palo Alto, and/or Aruba
  • More than 5 years of experience working in a complex and challenging network environment.
  • Experience in designing and implementing new technology in a global network environment, including retail, core, and data center networks.
  • Experience working in a 24/7 environment.
  • Experience with Scrum.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skill.
  • Expert level of knowledge with devices and/or technologies from various vendors e.g. Cisco routers and switches, Palo Alto firewalls, Aruba wireless, Meraki and Fortinet SD-WAN.
  • Good understanding of various network technologies e.g. MPLS, SD-WAN, VPN, QOS, etc. and various routing protocols.
  • Good understanding of OSI model.
  • Capable of performing analysis from the helicopter view and understanding how various technologies work together.
  • Good understanding of various authentication protocols e.g. TACACS+, Radius, LDAP, and NAC/Dot1x.
  • Familiarity with network management and monitoring tools e.g. Zabbix, Nagios, Solarwind, Wireshark, etc.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud technology and server operating systems (Windows and Linux) is desirable.
