Senior Project manager – Product categories
VP Business Development and Transformation
Main purpose of the role
Deliver GV ambition to create a strong global product platform across all product categories. BD&T senior project manager is accountable to steer and deliver successfully business project(s) related to Forward transformation strategy, with authority and responsibility of its project(s) sponsor, coordinating a cross-functional team at GV HQ and OpCo level.
BD&T senior project manager will be specifically responsible of:
1. Defining objectives, scope and plan of his project(s)
ü Defining detailed project objectives and scope based on its project brief
ü Managing stakeholder’s alignment, explaining the purpose and how its project(s) support GV overall strategy
ü Proposing a methodology to reach objectives, planning activities and their sequence
ü Developing a Budget and resources mobilization plan
2. Leads and manage the project team with authority and responsibility of its project(s) sponsor and collaborative steering committee
ü Monitoring overall progress and milestones, project plan and production of required deliverables
ü building consensus among stakeholders and facilitating the decision-making process with a crisp and synthetic assessment of possible options
ü Proposing proactively resolution path to any content or timeline issues
ü Managing project risks, including the development of contingency plans
ü Monitoring use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary
3. Work together with functional teams as well as GV change network to implement the changes
ü Monitoring effectiveness of the overall change management plan
ü Coordinating functional teams and GV change network in delivering the change plan (communication, training, Mgt team ownership, …)

Required qualifications/level of education
Business school master’s degree / engineer school master’s degree
2-3 experience in Retail industry in Marketing or category management

Candidate should demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills to drive management decisions.
Candidate should prove strong problem-solving ability, critical thinking and fast learning skills, as well as analytical mindset.
Candidate should be highly agile, with a natural ability to embrace learning and develop through experience. High level of energy and ambition to realise a positive impact.
Finally, Project manager must have a combination of skills including an ability to ask penetrating questions, detect unstated assumptions and resolve conflicts, as well as more general management skills.

Key skills, knowledge and experience
- 6-8 years’ experience in specialized distribution (Eyewear, cosmetics, fashion, clothing)
- Proven experience in project management
- Proven experience in marketing and/or category management
- Strong knowledge of English (written & spoken)
