Job Content

GrandVision launched the Forward Grandvision program in 2018. This program targets the development and deployment of global capabilities in fulfilment, eye wear operations and customer experience. Best of breed IT solutions will underpin these capabilities, with SAP providing core ERP services. In line with our business strategy, the application landscape will be supplemented with an Order Management System (OMS) for processing customer orders coming from any channel.

The Business Applications department from GrandVision Group IT is based in Schiphol (the Netherlands) and responsible for the application management and development of all group applications.. This department also supports further roll outs, operations and improvements in the application landscape of GrandVision and manages the transition of the application landscape to a hybrid landscape build on S/4HANA and best of breed (SAP and non-SAP) cloud solutions. Application support is largely outsourced to a partner. The solutions in a new OMS application will be governed from the same Center of Excellence.

Grandvision is looking for the Java developer who is ready for a next step in his/ her career. Using your past experience as a developer in full stack Java development and omni channel projects, you will be the OMS solution analyst in our team and work with business experts in the omni channel space in Grandvision.

As an analyst, you will be responsible to safeguard the functionality and robustness of the order management solution and ensure effective integration with fulfillment solutions in SAP. You will participate in projects as well as identify, develop and/ or drive solutions in maintenance.

Essential functions

  • Responsible to liaise with the business area experts;
  • Advise on the possibilities in the end to end solution suite (OMS & SAP applications);
  • Assess business needs and requirements for OMS;
  • Perform fit gap analysis, solution design and quality assessments in new deployments of template solutions;
  • Create specifications, develop solutions and verify delivery quality of support partner;
  • Drive and assess quality of delivered solutions by external partners, including the offshore application support team;
  • Educate and empower business area experts with the required knowledge and skills;

    Skills & Requirements
  • Educated to Bachelor level;
  • Experience in at least one omni channel project in developing and configuring an OMS application like Fluent Commerce, Sterling or Manhattan as backend designer/ developer or as business analyst;
  • Experienced developer in tools and technologies in the Java based frameworks like Java, Jsp, Spring , Python, Graphql,
  • Functional knowledge of omni channel and supply chain processes in a retail environment;
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving techniques;
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Knowledge of other languages like Spanish, French or German is an advantage;
  • Willing to travel internationally (app. 30%).
