As Logistics Specialist/Supply Chain Inventory Specialist, you are part of our global supply team, overseeing logistics operations from our HQ in Schiphol. You will be one of the main contact points for our logistics service providers and act as the subject matter expert for supply & logistics activities and ways of working.

One thing is for sure, you won't be bored! With this role being 50% operation and the rest a mix of various duties, projects etc. this will be a great opportunity for someone to spend a year working for the largest global optical retailer in the world, as part of a very internationally diverse team, supporting distribution across all of Europe and Latam. This opportunity will give you so much scope to learn and develop your career in logistics further.

Due to a temporary increase in workload, we are offering a 1-year fixed contract for this position. Because of this, we can only consider candidates currently residing in the Netherlands only.


  • Being a part of the Global Supply Team
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert for supply & logistics activities and ways of working.
  • Coordinate, monitor and maintain flawless execution of Supply and being one of the key contacts point for Logistics Service Provider (LSP) activities - inbound, warehousing and outbound - in close cooperation with Supply (KSL) & Demand Team (KAL).
  • Monitor logistics operations of our Logistics Service Providers from Asia Hubs until delivery at OpCos warehouses/Regional Fulfilment Hubs.
  • Solve diverse operational issues quickly and structurally.
  • In collaboration with the Key Supply Leads review and analyse suppliers and LSP performance, KPI’s and implement corrective actions if necessary.
  • Analyse processes, procedures and systems in order to identify improvement possibilities.
  • Be a valued sparring partner when it comes to logistics issues.
  • Monitor LSP KPIs
  • Monitor Order Management tool and EDI messages (message 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7) flow, granting all are successfully integrated in GV systems.

Key skills, knowledge and experience

  • Business level English, both written and spoken
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics or other relevant fields or relevant work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics and LSP’s management
  • Experience in warehouse running activities
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written
  • SAP, essential
  • S&OP
  • BI & Power BI
  • MS Office Pack, essential
