As Test Lead you will safeguard the quality of existing test practices and processes, implement improvements to these processes and roll out test automation for regression testing. You will get to participate in projects like country roll-in’s and technical upgrades as well as ongoing support and championing improvements to test strategy and execution, introducing automation into the domain. In this role you are the ‘go-to’ person for the COE and business for questions about test scope, coverage and execution status.

  • Enforce the use of the standard test processes and tools across all operating companies and projects within the COE scope.
  • Own and maintain the standard test management tool.
  • Create a vision and strategy for test automation to support regression testing and manage the implementation of this vision and strategy.
  • Liaise with the local change/ test managers and key user/ testers in operating companies and maintain the relationship.
  • Support local change/ test managers in scoping User Acceptance and Regression Testing.
  • Co-ordinate regression testing across countries and business units.
  • Perform overall test management in COE projects.
  • Identify potential improvements in test practices in all phases of the development life-cycle.
  • Be an influencer and guardian of the COE test strategy.
  • Drive and assess quality of test practice by external partners.
  • Educate and empower business area experts with the required knowledge and skills to conduct testing independently.
  • Back-up the COE change – and incident managers in service management execution.

Key skills, knowledge and experience

  • Business level English, both written and spoken.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT / relevant subject.
  • 5+ years of SAP test and change management experience in complex SAP(-Retail) implementations including experience with testing middleware and interfaces.
  • Experienced in working with test management tools.
  • Experienced in working with Jira.
  • Experienced in setting up test automation within an SAP landscape.
  • Functional knowledge of supply chain models and warehouse processes in a retail or wholesale environment is an advantage.
  • Proven capability to manage resolution of complex problems.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills in English, both written and verbally.
  • Experienced in working within an international environment with large SI with on-shore and off shore delivery.
  • Affinity for technology and tools.
  • Willing to travel internationally.
  • Agile experience and certifications are advantageous.


Contract: In line with common market practice a 1-year (/ fixed-term) contract may initially be offered with a view to extend.

Workplace type: hybrid. We offer the option to continue working 2 days at home and 3 days at the office with a working from home bundle incl. chair and screen etc. provided to support this.
